Saddle up and prepare for an out-of-this-world experience at Cocktails & Culture: Space Cowboys!
Sip on celestial delights from our community partners, featuring complimentary beer and cocktails from local distilleries and breweries. Blast-off into the Surviving Space: Astronauts & Asteroids exhibition, where you’ll experience what it takes to become an astronaut, explore NASA artifacts, touch a real meteorite and more.
Plus, meet scientists who will share about what it takes to survive (and thrive) in space! Gain insights into the ingenuity and resilience required for interstellar travel and expand your knowledge of our galaxy.
But it wouldn’t be a true Space Cowboys event without the chance to learn more about cowboy history. Meet the cowboys in Black Cowboys: An American Story exhibition, where you will explore the lives of Black men, women and children who labored on the ranches of Texas and participated on cattle drives. Join Ron Davis II, Curator of American History, in tours through the exhibition and an interactive meet-and-greet.
Channel your inner cowboy and test your skills as you learn the art of lassoing alongside the Witte Museum Public Programs team. After honing your roping skills, relax with a mini-massage from masseuse Albert Alejandro.
Don your finest cowboy boots and space-themed attire, and join us for a stellar night of cosmic revelry at Cocktails & Culture: Space Cowboys.
