Join the Witte Museum in celebrating Texas Archeology Month!
Every Free Tuesday during the month of October, the Witte will be giving away kits to make your very own pinch pot at home! Pinch pots were a simple pottery created by early Texans and other cultures for thousands of years. The kit comes with clay, tools for decorating and a handout with links to online resources.
The giveaway will be located on the 2nd Floor of the Susan Naylor Center. To help protect the museum space, we ask that you build your pinch pot once you get home.
Pinch pot kits provided by the Texas Historical Commission.
Pinch pot kit included with General Admission. Bexar County residents enjoy free General Admission every Tuesday from 3 – 6 p.m. into the Witte Museum campus. Reserve your Free Tuesday tickets in advance on our website.
*Limit one pinch pot kit per person.
