How does an eclipse happen?
Inspired by the special exhibition Surviving Space and the upcoming total solar eclipse, this hands-on workshop examines the movements of the Sun, Earth and Moon. You and your family will make your own model to show the orbits of space objects and demonstrate how an eclipse occurs.
Cost: $8 (non-member) / $6 (member) + Museum Admission
Important Information:
- Advanced registration required. Participation in this event requires Witte Museum general admission (not included), plus STEAM Sunday ticket for each participant.
- Purchase includes all supplies needed for interactive workshop and collectible button.
- Non-participating family members are welcome (space permitting) and do not need to purchase a ticket.
- Recommended for all ages over 5.
- Program runs approximately 45-60 minutes.
- STEAM Sunday ticket sales close one hour before the program begins.
