The San Antonio River Authority’s annual photography contest highlights the extraordinary features of the San Antonio River Basin. Everyone is encouraged to enjoy the beauty of the area, take their best photograph and submit it online. This year’s submissions came from across Bexar, Wilson, Karnes and Goliad counties.
A panel of judges from a range of professional backgrounds evaluated the entries in several categories, including one Special Category that highlights the newest park additions: Hendrick Arnold Nature Park and Trueheart Ranch Nature Park.
Winning categories include Judge’s Choice for each county and People’s Choice, for which the public voted on their favorite finalist. Other categories were Student, Creeks & Rivers, Plants & Animals, Recreation, and Seasonal Variation. This year two new categories were added: Aerial and Pet! In addition to these new categories, River Authority staff also participated in a River Authority Employee category.
